Louis William Gabu was born on may 6, 1847 in Le Locle Switzerland. At the age of twenty he comes to Russia, where he opens his watch business. In 1868 appear in Moscow the Trading house "V. GABYU", workshops, and time salon is located on Nikolskaya street.
