A rather rare black enamel dial with gold minute stamps, large Roman numerals and gold hands. Natural polished glass. The watch is equipped with a chain and a gift box made specifically for antique pocket watches. The diameter of the blued watch case is 49 mm.

Louis William Gabu was born on May 6, 1847 in Le Locle, Switzerland. At the age of twenty, he came to Russia, where he opened his watchmaking business. In 1868, the Trading House "V. GABYU" appeared in Moscow, workshops and a watch salon are located on Nikolskaya Street. In addition to the watch shop itself, the Gabu trading house successfully distributes products through small trading firms in other cities, and also contains a "WATCH DEPOT" - a workshop where you can select watch components from the catalog, and assemble the corresponding product to order with a given dial, case, with a monogram, and other special wishes.
